Ask For What You Want : First Identify why you don’t

September 29, 2008 by DianeCorriette · Leave a Comment

Isn’t that a great question to start asking yourself! “Why don’t I ask for what I want?”

After all it isn’t difficult… all you have to do is open your mouth and say what it is you want. Simple!

So then why isn’t it simple if it’s really so simple??? That is what we will figure out together as you read through the series of “Ask For What You Want” blog posts.

Together you and I will go on a journey of which there is no return! You start this journey as a poor, weak, pathetic (bear with me it gets better…) creature desperate to just express what it is you want to say but by the end you will be a super asker super hero…. you become “Ask the warrior princess” as you express yourself simply, easily and without hesitation.

You will finally experience true self expression as you open up to becoming the person you want to be.

You will be the person that justs opens their mouth and asks!

Can you see that right now? Stop and imagine for a second what it will be like. Visualize yourself in front of the person who scares you the most asking for exactly what you want because before long that’s exactly what’s going to happen…. right???!!!

Remember, the power is with you, not with me. Create the intention to make this happen and let’s do this!

The Lionesses Liar

September 29, 2008 by DianeCorriette · Leave a Comment

Pleasure beyond belief. Warm sensual place
Entering this deeply forbidden space
It’s scent attracts you. Desire fills you.
There’s nothing more to do but surrender
You touch. It moves under your direction
You taste. Feel it grow. Give it time to expand
At this moment as you move inside now
You’d give up all you have to control this
The movement starts off slow. Enjoy this time
Go deep inside the lionesses liar
Your heart increases. The Rhythm changes
My Love, sweet desire, nothing leaves us
As the rhythm of my love changes
The relief of ecstasy brings the end

Two more deaths because of debt

September 29, 2008 by DianeCorriette · Leave a Comment

This really is getting scary. The number of people who believe that the only option they have is to take their life because of debt.

Did you know that if you rang your credit card company and asked them if you could pay a token payment for a few months they would have little option but to say yes! Even if that payment was £1 a month.

The first death was a 34 year old student who had £40,000 on credit cards and the second a father who took his own life by cutting his throat.

Nothing ever needs to be that bad that you take your own life…. really! Talk to the national debt helpline and find out your options.

If any of the staff at any of the companies that you owe money to are rude or disrespectful immediately tell them you want to speak to someone else. I don’t care how much money you owe no one has the right to speak to you in any manner that isnt 100% helpful.

The worst that can happen is you go through IVA or bankruptcy… and I say that is the worst when compared to taking your own life.

Please talk to someone, get help, ring the people you owe money to and pay them a nominal amount. As long as each month you pay something small they can not accuse you of non payment.

Five simple yet effective ways to achieve your goals

September 25, 2008 by DianeCorriette · 3 Comments

by Personal Growth Coach, Diane Corriette

When I first started working towards my dreams it was a real hit and miss affair, sometimes I got things done and sometimes I definitely didn’t! So eventually I had to start by setting myself achievement targets, which are more popularly known as goals.

Goal setting for me was an absolute essential because I knew if I didn’t write down what I wanted to achieve then chances are nothing would get done. I also knew I worked better with deadlines and if I didn’t set a date for something to be completed then it probably would drag on for years!

I remember setting myself a goal of completely decorating my house within 3 years, which included some building work. What I didn’t do was set the date for completion so each year I would keep talking about how great my house will look in three years time!!! It took me two years before I realised that I needed to set the end date and of course hardly anything had been done in those two years!

Once I told myself “It is 1999 and by 2002 I will have completely redecorated my house and converted my garage into an office” it became easier to work towards and I achieved that goal (and am sitting in my office now!)

I have put together five easy goal setting tips that helped me stay focused on goal setting and achievement.

1. Break Your Big Goals Down Into Smaller Pieces
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
Trying to eat a whole elephant or trying to look at and achieving your whole goal in one go will become overwhelming so break it down into smaller targets and celebrate each time you achieve one. Each small step brings you closer towards your bigger goal.

2. Write your goals down and read it every day
It’s important that you not only write down what you goal is, when you will achieve it and who will help you achieve it but it is also important that you read it every day. Not only does that help to keep you motivated but it also sends out a message to the universe about what you intend to achieve and you will find that doors magical open for you.

Bob Proctor said that he went from earning $4,000 to making a huge $175,000 in a year thanks to the book “Think & Grow Rich” which told him to write his goal down on a card, carry it round with him and read it every day especially in the morning and at night.

You can read a free report where he talks about that during an interview with Stephen Pierce here http://www.inspirationalguidance.com/attraction.pdf

3. Get an accountability partner or keep yourself accountable
The best way to keep yourself accountable to achieving a goal is to tell others about it. Publicly declare your goals to those around you but watch out for the people who will try and keep you down. Be strong in your resolve to succeed no matter what others say.
It will also help to get yourself one person that you use as a partner (and you can do the same for them). Together you tell each other what you will achieve that day/week and motivate each other to stay on track.

4. Be ready for change and flexible enough to let it happen
Once you have set your goals it does not mean that they are set in stone and cannot be changed. If you allow yourself to be flexible and change your direction (even slightly) you may find your results are far better than you had even imagined. Circumstances change, things go wrong, people leave and shift happens so be willing to bend a little.

5. Do whatever it takes to stay motivated
How many times have you set goals and not achieved them? It happens and it’s important that you come up with ways to keep you motivated. Remember what I have suggested above like reading them every day, celebrating each smaller goal achieved and getting yourself an accountability partner and come up with your own ways to stay motivated too.

One of the ways I keep myself motivated is to constantly listen to self help material, especially when things are not going the way I planned, because I find it inspires me to move forward. I particularly love listening to anyone who achieved against great odds.

Those are the five simple yet effective ways to achieve your goals that I recommend and as always I encourage you to create your own because that’s far more powerful than anything handed to you.

If you are just starting out or if you have never been successful with goal setting I promise you that by simply following the five steps of breaking down your goals, writing them down and reading them every day, keeping yourself accountable, being willing to change and finding ways to stay motivated you will achieve them.

One of the products I have used to help me define my goals clearly (which is very important) is Goals by Zig Ziglar. During these audios you are guided through a ’success trip’ during which you learn techniques for finding extra time you didn’t think you had. He also takes you through how to cut down your big goals into easy-to-handle smaller ones, which was my first tip. I love this audio program and highly recommend it and you can get yourself a copy by visting http://www.inspirationalguidance.com/loves/ziglargoals/

Love’s Sweet Desire

September 25, 2008 by DianeCorriette · Leave a Comment

Each tender kiss brings me to you

Softly. Gently.

My love for you expresses itself through my mouth.

Only just touching your arm you bring me closer.

I sink into the feeling of love that starts in my heart and works its way throughout my entire being.

The warmness glows within me, it floods me,

and the kiss becomes harder. Aching now. Loving your taste, smelling your sweet breath.

I feel your firmness against me.

I am here in this moment with you and expressing my love for you is my only desire.

[Your IT Session 3] What’s Your Lifes Purpose?

September 25, 2008 by DianeCorriette · 3 Comments

The search to discover what your life purpose is really doesn’t have to be that difficult. People spend a fortune in time and money to discover what it might be when really it’s quite simple.

All you need to do is ask yourself!

I know, that’s way too simplistic but consider this…. Who knows you better than you do?

The thing is we have been taught to find answers from our parents, from our teachers, from our boss, from our friends, we are so caught up in discovering answers about who we are and what we should be doing in other people that we forget to stop and ask ourselves.

What have you always loved to do?

There will be something since childhood that you have spent your life doing. Its completely natural to you so you may be overlooking it.

Now’s the time to begin the journey of trusting yourself and the answers you have within you.

Start small. Every day smile at someone, or if someone is unhappy cheer them up. Say thank you to someone, praise someone for a job well done. Begin to be of service to other people in small ways that are completely free and take up seconds in your day and see how that makes you feel.

Also ask the question. “What is my purpose in life? I am ready to discover it and I give thanks for having it revealed to me”

Say that (or even better make up your own line) as often as you can. Say it in the morning, during the day, before going to sleep and allow your unconscious mind time to bring it to your attention.

There is no time limit to this so don’t give up after two days because you don’t have an answer, just keep asking the question and the answer will be revealed to you.

In the meantime while you wait be of service to others in whatever way fills you with joy and you will find that before long your purpose will be revealed.

Diane

Am I A Steve Pavlina Wanna Be?

September 24, 2008 by DianeCorriette · 2 Comments

I received an email about my re-connection to all things personal development and was asked if I was just trying to be a Steve Pavlina wanna be…. I had to laugh out loud (and then ROFL!)

Steve Pavlina (in case you have been in outer space and are not familiar with him) can be found at http://www.stevepavlina.com/ – he writes personal development material, asks for donations (not sure if he still does actually) and is now a published author.

Our message – while similar – is very different because its written from two different societal perspectives. I definitely write from a woman’s perspective and he (not being a woman) definitely doesn’t! Our message is the same when it comes to living your purpose, discovering your own interpretation of the Truth and living authentically but I’m more entertaining than he is :) (it’s good to pop your own collar you know!)

Am I a Steve Pavlina wanna be? No. I’m not. I am already Steve Pavlina… I’ve just been a little slower at getting my message out there! Who I definitely am though is me and everything that goes with that.

Thanks for asking

[Your IT : Session 2] What’s your intention for your life?

September 24, 2008 by DianeCorriette · Leave a Comment

When you intend something to happen it’s quite powerful. You are not wishing that it happens or hoping that it happens.

Stop and say to yourself “I wish I could find a new job” then try “I hope I find a new job” now say to yourself “I intend to find a new job”

Can you feel the power in that last statement? When you set your intention for something to happen you are letting yourself, your unconscious mind, and The Divine know that there is something you want for yourself.

So what’s your intention for your life? What do you INTEND to happen?

Discovering this can help you move closer towards your IT if you are unsure about what IT might be.

When you declare an intention you can begin to work towards making it happen. You will find that doors open, or that you meet the right people you need, but you have to first declare an intention and before that you have to discover what your intention is.

My intention for my life is to live anywhere in the world, with my children, a wonderful loving partner and my laptop because my businesses are online. I open my laptop and I am in business! It’s my intention to generate an ongoing 5-6 figure monthly income (or more) that comes in while I sleep, play and have fun every single day and to never work more than 4 hours a day to earn it! It’s my intention to own property in Dominica where my parents are from and to spend time writing and speaking to anyone that wants to listen for the rest of my life.

That’s my intention and it gets me up every morning. I am totally inspired by it and when things aren’t working out or even when life has taken a complete downturn I hold the space for this intention to be released.

Understand that whatever you intend life will probably throw the complete opposite at you for a while as your strength and willpower to have what you truly desire is tested. Many people give up on their dreams because of that. Will you?

Your intention must fill you with desire. It must touch you to your very soul. When you think about your intention it must move you into action and inspire you to continue working towards it

Your intention may become your IT or it may just be part of your IT but it is an essential part. Your intention for your life will help you work out what your purpose is in life. These are not separate things and I don’t want you to begin to see them as separate. They are all inherently intertwined. Your intention, your purpose, your IT! They are all one, but for the purpose of this Ecourse I have to separate them out.

Begin to look at what you intend to bring into your life and next time and look forward to our next lesson that will take you on a journey towards your life’s purpose.

Your intentions and thoughts are the prophecies of what you will one day become. This is what is meant by a self fulfilling prophecy. Whatever you think or intend to happen in your mind will happen. So if your mind is full of lack, and disbelief and fear. If you fear you will lose your partner then you will, because your thoughts attract to you the very thing you think about.

The Dream

September 23, 2008 by DianeCorriette · 1 Comment

I had a dream about you last night

I lay there in your arms

and for a few hours in my deepest sleep I felt completely safe

You always made me feel that way

Safe and warm

Like nothing and no one could ever hurt me

The smell of you fills me and my body tingles

I need you, I ache for you, I love you.

I’m awake now and it all comes flooding back

The worry, the pain, the hurt

But at any time I can close my eyes and remember the dream
