About
Welcome to my blog on building self confidence and self development. Two topics I am passionate about. Inspirational Guidance has been around for a while but I have only now (March 2010) finally felt as if I have settled on what I want to write about. In the past I have written about faith, self realization, discovering greatness and after spending time in reflection (and going through a few weeks of utter confusion) I found clarity and am now 100% clear on my focus.
I was inspired by a blog I visited called My Own Utopia by Sherry Ann (Sasha) who instead of an About Me page had 100 things about herself. She was at number 21 when I paid a visit. So I thought I would write 100 things about me too in case you care to know more about me
1. I am a mother of 3 children (that’s them on the right)
2. I live in London, England
3. I am independent but enjoy interdependency. You bring your marbles and I will bring mine!
4. I love writing and write on the topics of building self confidence and other self development topics.
5. Because I am English you will find an “s” in place of a “z” and “u” where you don’t expect it (for my American cousins.) So favorite becomes favourite and realize is actually realise for me – but we can still work through that… just wait till you hear me say niche
6. I am not afraid about being alone, will never be lonely and will never have a man by my side just to fill a void. I am whole and complete (and so are you by the way!)
7. Since 2005 I have spent time developing other sources of income using the internet.
8. I believe in the power of learning. If building self confidence is something you want to do invest your time and money to make it happen
9. Growing up I was a shy child, who grew into a shy teenager and a shy young adult. I was 25 before I decided to stop calling myself shy and do something about it. 18 years later you can’t shut me up
10. By 2012 I want to be financially free – which for me means debt free and enough coming in passively that I don’t have to get out of bed for six months if I didn’t want to!
11. I love food. Which does me no good at all because I spend a lot of time sitting.
12. I’m not a fan of exercise although love walking
13. I’m single at the time of writing this (December 2008)

37. I have been loved by some amazing men and am always blessed when it comes to meeting them. Our paths are going in different directions though so we part but I know my life partner is waiting for me to learn all my lessons so by the time I get to him I will have sorted myself out!
38. I love dancing (can’t believe I got to 38 before I mentioned that one!) and take part in belly dancing. Also love salsa, and of course slow dancing with a great guy to some fantastic reggae!
39. In 2007 I made some really bad choices that affected my finances in 2008 and now I am working towards recovering from that and building a big enough income so money is NEVER a problem again.
40. I learnt at 40 that life begins and I really shouldn’t give a f$*k (I would say the word normally but what with me being a new Christian…!)
41. My challenges in 2008 have helped to make me stronger and I have learnt a lot about other business people who lost everything and came back and became millionaires so its all part of the journey (although I never got to the point of losing everything – but I sold alot!)
42. I grew up believing I was ugly (it’s amazing the rubbish we tell ourselves in our head) and began the journey of loving myself in my 30s. Now in 2010 I am 43 and love myself alot. It shows because the older I get the more attention I get from people who think I am gorgeous (men and women)
43. I am blessed with some great friendships and a great mum (mom) who all supported me through my difficult time and kept giving me money because they believed in who I am and what I will achieve.
44. In my teens I believed I should “speak when I am spoken to” so I said nothing unless someone spoke to me and no one spoke to me because I said nothing!
45. I like order and am wishing I had planned my list so it went through my life history 1 to 100 but that’s the control freak in me and I’m giving her up so it doesn’t matter!
46. There was a period when I needed to be so in control that if I was buying petrol (gas) for my car I would have to buy 10.00 or 10.30 I could never buy 10.48 because it just wasn’t orderly! Glad I gave that craziness up
Now I just hit the pump and stop when I feel like it and to hell with whatever figure comes up…… see I do know how to live dangerously!

51. I am blessed, highly favoured and fabulous (what I tell myself alot!)
51. 2010 is all about getting loads of new experiences and serendipitous discoveries
52. One of my biggest weaknesses is when people piss me off i cut them out of my life. No second chances and no questions. I’ve lost a few people that way! I do my best not to because I believe I reap what I sew but in the moment of pissed-off-ness I act fast and foolishly
53. I’m a scorpion (just to justify number 52!)
54. I was born on 5th November which in the UK is fireworks night. The night some guy called Guy Fawkes tried to blow up royalty. So loads of fireworks are released on the day of my birth and it’s hard for people to forget MY birthday!
55. Growing up people made jokes about “being born with a bang” and it’s not funny after the 18th hundred time of hearing it!
56. My African American friend Drepenba taught me how not to give a shit about what people thought and I will always be thankful for that because I restricted my life based on what people might think.
57. An ex partner taught me that I was ready to love and get married again because i loved him alot but he was 15 years my senior and ready to travel the world and I have young children.
58. I have an ongoing battle between wanting to be spiritual and acquire wisdom and wanting a big house and car AND believing I can do both.

63. The internet offers a great opportunity for anyone ready to do the work to be successful.

79. I was always compared to my younger brother growing up which drove me crazy

89. I hated my height for years and was always taller than most men but now I celebrate it and wear heels
90. I learnt about makeup and being a girlie girl from my daughter because I never really bothered with all of that kind of stuff (well why would you when you have no self confidence and believe you are ugly?)
91. I will be successful because I have given myself no other option
92. I want to start a trust fund that will help girls with low self confidence love themselves so they don’t miss out on their teenage years thinking they are ugly
