Paul Mckenna I can make you thin

Following Paul McKenna I can make you thin (or as I like to say I will become the right weight for my height with the help of Paul McKenna!) for the last week has been very easy.

I mentioned in an earlier post that the most difficult part was just chewing slowly because I wanted to “throw it down” my throat. The constant chewing of food reminds me that I really don’t do that enough.

Rule Number 2 – Eat What You Want

This is my favorite rule!  The best part has been being able to eat without restrictions and it’s amazing just how freeing that has been and eye opening as to how much I was restricting myself when it came to what I should and shouldn’t eat. I didn’t go mad and eat junk food and chocolate all week although I was tempted!

During his show Paul McKenna Said

“You crave what you deprive yourself of”

Which is so very true because when you know you can’t have something you spend all your time thinking about it and the more you think about it the more you want it. Now I can just go ahead and eat it but in moderation because we are warned not to eat to excess in rule 4 - Stop when you think you are full.

Rule 4 – Stop when you think you are full

I have trained myself to eat a lot in the morning so that when I sit down at my computer I don’t have to move again for 5 or 6 hours! By the time that happens I need to go pick my youngest up from school so I eat something quick like toast, rush it down then leave to pick him up. Until I got rid of my car a few months ago I would then jump in the car, sit in the car until he came out from school, he would meet me at the car (so I didn’t have to get out) and I would drive home. On arrival I would make him a snack (or he would get it himself) and I would sit down again at the computer.

No wonder the weight crept on! Now I am without a car I am averaging about a 3 mile walk every day. The walk to school and back is a little under a mile and I have to do it 4 times – so to average it out (because sometimes he walks home with friends) I am doing a 3 mile walk 5 times a week – term time only of course!

My only problem is knowing when I am hungry because if I wait for hunger signs they no longer creep on slowly. I think because I am so focused on my computer I don’t feel anything and then suddenly I feel ravenously hungry and need to eat the house (not literally of course :) ) – so I have begun to re-tune into my stomach and rule 3 eating consciously helps with that.

Rule 3 – Eat Consciously

I don’t know if eating consciously actually means chewing slowly and taking smaller bites but that is what I have been doing. It takes me ages to eat anything and the food goes cold. We were encouraged to leave some food on our plate and either I get used to cold food or I start leaving what’s gone cold!

As I chew my insides go crazy “just get on with it and shove it in your mouth” my internal voice screams at me and I sit there smugly and chew slowly knowing that is one voice I am slowly killing off because it no longer serves me!

Yes chewing slowly is a big pain in the rear and a habit I need to consciously perform in order to succeed but it will soon become a habit and happen automatically…. I’ll be chewing like a thin girl in no time :)

My weight loss for this week using Paul McKenna I Can Make You Thin

So after my first week what have I lost? A total of 4 lbs

Not bad considering I ate burger king and chips during the week, didn’t have to buy any special food and I continued living like I normally do – no smaller portions for me, no eating away from everyone else because I can’t have what they are eating.

I LOVE this! I am also close to breaking a barrier because I haven’t been able to get down past 266 pounds (19st stone). I have been stuck at 19 and a half for the past 18 months or longer.

My current weight is 19st 1lb (267 pounds)

My ideal weight for my height (I am 5 feet 10″ or 175.26 centimeters)

According to weight experts I should be 142-156 lbs (based on my height and me choosing that I have a medium frame) which is 11 stone 10lb and I think that’s way to thin for me. I don’t want to look like Popeye’s Olive Oil!!!!

I want to average around 13-15 stones which is 182-210 pounds – because I love my curves (and so do most of the men I meet who keep telling me I don’t need to lose weight!)

My affirmation is :

I am releasing a total of 57 lbs in weight over the next few months

Total I have released so far is 4 lbs so I have 53 lbs to go. I will continue to use EFT to help too and of course keep exercising, drinking water and chewing slowly!

We have been advised not to weigh ourselves every few days because it won’t give an accurate picture of what’s happening so I will weigh myself every two weeks or maybe 10 days if I can’t wait that long!!!

  1. I love the four rules and think they are the best way to release weight ever!

I have fallen off the wagon and need to get back onto it as I always lose weight when following the rules. The hardest thing for me is eating is boring to do as a solo activity so gradually the tv gets turned on or I start reading anything in sight and then I miss the full signal and it all goes downhill from there.

I did find the cd with the hypnosis a help and I love EFT for food craving

  2. I have used this program before to lose 15 lbs. Just keep working at it and you will get there!
