Let me mentor you towards ebusiness success

I’m looking for 10-12 people to mentor over a six week period. I have come up with a great 3 step system for getting an internet business up without needing to pay out a lot of money.
http://www.internetmarketingmentor.info
Blogs, membership sites and podcasts/teleseminars - combining the three is powerful and they are low maintenace businesses with high reward opportunities.
This isn’t a “quick fix” because you still need to go out there and build your audience but if you stick to this one business system and give it 10-12 months of constantly updating your blog, providing premium content for people to subscribe to and using podcasts/teleseminars to build your audience you will build yourself a thriving online business.
Of course the trouble always is getting started and staying focused. That’s my job. I will set up your blog for you, help you create your target market and keywords, provide you with different ways to build your list and generate traffic.
Then you just go away and market, market, market. You can create products for your target market that you place on your blog/inside your membership site and you build ONE business and enjoy the income from it.
And of course whenever you are ready you can always rinse and repeat
http://www.internetmarketingmentor.info
I am looking for beta testers to take through this process that I have already taken 3 people through and it works. I will launch this around September/October and am already looking at offline workshops in the UK.
You save a minimum of 50% (lowest price of the home study course will be $997) and you get my one to one personal attention - most people will get videos/audios and maybe group teleseminars.

Multiple mastermind group participation

I truly believe that if you want to be successful you should include yourself in a mastermind group - a group of people who all come together to share goals, help each other achieving and provide support.
But I don’t believe you need to be in more than one group. In fact I believe that when you are it’s impossible to be dedicated because you are spreading yourself across two groups.
I’d like to hear from anyone who has experienced great results as a result of being in more than one mastermind group.
So I am taking the position of being FOR people only being in one mastermind group. Anyone AGAINST that? Let’s see if we can get a debate going.

What I Would Do Differently In My (Internet Marketing) Life If
I Could Do It All Again
I didn’t go the traditional root with this product. I didn’t do any research, I didn’t find out who was looking for what I was about to offer (which of course is the best way to make money in internet marketing!) - this product was personal… let me explain.
I logged on one Sunday in March 2008 to find an email from someone who didn’t know me. She was in trouble because she had spent way too much money on products and was not making any income. She wanted to know if I could help her and of course at this stage I can’t. I’ve been there myself (a few times) and it’s not a great place to be! Because of my constant buying I had maxed out my credit cards and was bringing in no income.
I knew I had to find a way to stop this from happening and the result was a special report I wrote called “What I Would Do Differently In My (Internet Marketing) Life If I Could Do It All Again!”
That report sold really well so I decided to turn it into a membership site and sell it through there. I also invited a few of my internet marketing friends to include their contribution and share their mistakes.
If you are new to internet marketing and making money online you are about to go through a huge learning curve. Learning from the mistakes we made will save you hours of frustration from making the same mistakes but most importantly save you thousands of dollars because you won’t end up spending the money we did!

Want an easy and low cost way to make money online? Write eCourses
April 14, 2008 by DianeCorriette

One of the lessons I learnt from being on the internet is the fact that it doesn’t have to take much to make money. I had been spending my time trying to develop high ticket products that no one wanted but I hoped would sell for close to a thousand dollars. My internet marketing life changed when I learnt how to make money using low cost and easy ways.
The problem came when I ran out of money, I had maxed out my credit cards and I was ready to give up because trying to stay in internet marketing was costing me too much, not only in finances but also in time and energy.
I looked back over all the products I had bought, all the information I had and everything I had been taught. It was the lessons I learnt at the very beginning and had ignored that were to come back and help me finally start making money online easily.
I had found myself joining a number of free eCourses and learning from them and then I joined an eCourse that was teaching people how to run and profit from their own eCourses. At the same time a product had been launched that showed people how to offer free access to membership sites with a one time offer upgrade.
With the information I had I now realized that I could easily put together eCourses that were delivered by email and using membership sites. It was an exciting time. I had been unable to sell access to a membership site and yet when I offered free access with an upgrade people bought the upgrade.
It was a perfect internet business for newbies and as I didn’t have my own product I used affiliate products and sold those instead. As time went by I began to create my own free short reports and then moved onto selling reports before creating my own information products.
The learning system I gained access to also provided me with a structure that showed me how to put together information with ongoing value to those who signed up, which is extremely important. It took me about 10 days to put together my first free eCourse because I had never done it before and by the time I was writing my fourth one it was only taking me a few days. Now within 48 hours I can have an ecourse up and ready to attract new subscribers.
Suddenly after months of not knowing how to build a list I was doing it and after months of never making any money I was finally receiving those wonderful emails that alert you to a sale. Plus it was easy to start and maintain which really did fit into what I wanted from my business at the beginning.
There are plenty of easy and low cost ways to make money online without having to spend a lot of money. I will caution you not to confuse low cost or easy to start up with no work because they will always need the commitment from you to drive traffic to it and ensure you continually have people signing up.

My 5 Internet Marketing Mistakes That You Can Avoid
April 14, 2008 by DianeCorriette
When you first start out in internet marketing it can become pretty overwhelming pretty fast and before you know it you are spending 10-12 hours online without actually making any money for your efforts.
I started online back in 2005 and what I have found in my relative short internet marketing life is that it doesn’t take much to end up with more debt than income, which is what promoted me to write about it.
Wherever you are in your journey towards running your own successful internet based business I hope writing about my internet marketing mistakes will help you avoid them.
Internet Marketing Mistake #1
Joining way too many email lists and trying to listening to what every expert was telling me to do and becoming overwhelmed. My inbox was full of information but some of it was saying different things and I became confused about which expert to listen to. If you have 10, 20 or more emails coming in from different people consider unsubscribing from the ones you don’t read and focusing in on the ones you do.
Internet Marketing Mistakes #2
Listening to many voices expect one. I took on a mentor very early on and I am glad that I did but I didn’t give his advice long enough. While he was mentoring me I was still listening to all the other experts and sometimes ignoring what my mentor said because of something I read in an email! If I was doing it all again I would tune out all the other voices and only listen to my mentor for the time that I was with him and a few months after that until I had achieved the goals I set myself.
Internet Marketing Mistakes #3
Believing the hype! Yes we all get caught up in product launches and ticking clocks that tell you the price is about to go up, or special fast action bonuses only for the first 100 people. I got caught up in it all time and time again. I ended up with fast action bonuses that I never used anyway and products I never got round to using plus a huge credit card bill. If I was doing it all again I would only be focused on buying products that directly relate to my business goals and I would stop to think about exactly what value that product will bring to my business.
Internet Marketing Mistake #4
Not building a list. I was running my internet based business for 12 months before I realized that I had no real business because I had no list. It was only when I took part in my first mastermind group and everyone began to talk about group promotions that I realized I had no one to promote to! Building a list would definitely be my first priority (after finding my target market of course).
Internet Marketing Mistake #5
Not staying focused. With no target market, no list to build, no idea about what I really wanted to achieve I moved from one business idea to another. Whatever the latest product was I bought into it in the hope that somehow the product will be the thing that helped me decide what I wanted to do. If I was doing it all again I would definitely take my time reading the information provided by experts and use that to help me decide on my target market and business vehicle that I would use to make money online.
So those are my 5 biggest internet marketing mistakes and I hope you go out of your way to avoid them because it will save you a lot of frustration and a very large credit card bill!
Limit the number of emails hitting your inbox, find yourself a mentor and only listen to their teaching, don’t get caught up in the hype, build your list once you know your target market and stay focused on what you want to achieve.

How Big Is Your Internet Marketing Back End?
April 14, 2008 by DianeCorriette
Internet marketing is the process of selling digital products on the internet to customers who want what you are selling. It takes a lot of effort to attract one customer and a big internet marketing mistake that many newbies make is not setting up a system that will allow them to sell to existing customers. In internet marketing this is known as back end selling.
The most successful internet marketers apply back-end selling into their marketing efforts. Back-end selling is the process of selling other products or services to your existing customers after they have purchased an initial product.
Resource Box:
Diane Corriette runs the Women Internet Marketers Social network http://www.womeninternetmarketers.net and is the author of the ebook “What I Would Do Differently” that teaches people how to learn from her mistakes http://www.myinternetmarketingmistakes.com
Developing a back end in your internet marketing business is crucial to your success. You spend your time designing a killer sales page, work hard for high search engine rankings (or pay for them), submit classified ads, etc. but still do not manage to sell enough to make a decent living. This is where the concept of back-end sales is useful.
It is always easier to sell products or services to your existing customers because you have developed a relationship with them because they have already bought your product or service. It is far more cost effective and far easier to sell to old customers as compared to trying to find new customers and you are making a massive mistake in your internet marketing business if you are not doing that.
Your conversion ratio will be dramatically higher with existing customers. Every time you continue selling back-end products or services to existing customers, you will be building a life-long relationship. You should continually bring out new back-end products or services to sell to existing customers.
The release of a huge internet marketing product called Butterfly Marketing taught internet marketers how to build their back end by offering free products on the front end to attract people into your business and then continually selling products on the back end once you had them on your database. This was a powerful strategy that made many people in internet marketing huge amounts of money and is still used today. It is successful because it recognizes that once you have a relationship with people they are more likely to buy from you.
Traditionally that relationship was built through email marketing but then offering products for free as an incentive was seen to be far more powerful because now your customers were getting something for nothing just for joining your business.
There are several ways to make backend sales and one of the more popular ways is to immediately offer a product for sale after they join they confirm their email address to gain access to their free products. Before you let them through you present them with an irresistible offer that they can buy for a special price right then and there. You need to get the message across that this offer is only available once and if they don’t take advantage of it right there and then they will miss out. Of course if you say that don’t then make the same offer to them inside your members area because this will make you look like you don’t know what you are doing.
It is important that you stress that your offer is only available in this one opportunity and encourage them to take it or you tell them that it will be available in your members area but the price will be a lot higher if they don’t buy it now.
Once they are on your subscriber list the best way to keep in touch with your new customers through email marketing or an ezine. You promote products that are similar to their initial product because you know they have an interest in that area. So if initially you offered them free products on how to build and internet marketing business you may then offer them other products that will help with web design, list building, traffic generated and all those products that are in-line with the internet marketing arena.
Back end selling in your internet marketing business is the very thing that will ensure your success because you will not have to constantly go looking for new customers but will instead be able to take advantage of your current list of subscribers. Not having a back end system is a mistake made by many internet marketing newbies and one that should be corrected as soon as possible in your business if you are not currently offering new products to your existing list of subscribers.
The importance of keyword research and analysis in your internet marketing business
April 12, 2008 by DianeCorriette
Keyword research and analysis is essential if you want your internet marketing business to be found. When a user enters a search term, also known as a ‘keyword,’ into a search engine, the engine runs through the billions of pages in the database and awards each one a ‘relevancy score.’ The higher your score, the higher your listing will be in that search engine. If your site doesn’t contain the keyword used by the searcher, the only score it’s going to get is a big, fat zero. So your first task then is to make sure you know which keywords are most relevant for each of your sites.
There are a few different ways to can work towards doing your own keyword research and analysis. The first is to look through the biggest search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN you can type in what you know your keywords to be, or the words you think people might use to find you and then analyze the results you receive. What you are looking to discover is how many people are searching for what you are offering based on your keywords.
I will just stress here that this type of keyword research should take place before you have your website up and definitely before you create a product based on your idea but if you are finding that your product isn’t selling carrying out keyword research can definitely help to change that. The trick to keyword research is finding the right words that your potential customer uses to find you and this is an art in itself.
Once you have the search results in front of you another way to discover how popular your keyword is, is to look at the paid advertising on the right hand side of the search results. If there are no adverts on that side then you have either tapped a new market with potential or an area you shouldn’t touch with a 10-feet pole because nobody else has!
Of course if there are a number of advertisers then you can assume that there is definitely potential in your idea and now all you need to do is carry out keyword analysis to determine the keywords you will use in your internet marketing business.
Not too surprisingly, a number of companies have popped up to supply specific keyword services for a fee. The best of these is WordTracker.com. They’re not bargain basement, but you get what you pay for. They’ll give you all the keywords you need and in my experience, they’re a sound investment. There are free services available when carrying out keyword analysis and paid services. Your budget will determine which one you use but if you are serious about building your internet based business then a paid service is really your only option.
As you make up your list of keywords, bear in mind that it’s also worth looking at key phrases. It’s quite possible that a user looking to buy flowers online might search for ‘red roses’ or ‘cheap bouquets’ as well as just ‘flowers.’ Key phrases are often overlooked by competitors, so you’ve got a pretty good chance of getting a high placement with the right combination.
Don’t worry too much about the competition though. Some people will tell you that you’re better off trying to find keywords that no one else has thought of—as if there were any! In my experience, what I’ve found is if your competitors are using certain keywords, it’s because they know they work so rather than try to reinvent the wheel just try to figure out the most popular keywords and the best key phrases to put on your site.
Keyword research and analysis in internet marketing is as important as having a BUY NOW button on your website and you are missing out on sales if you do not pay attention to this area. If you are not confident about how to carry out keyword research then think about outsourcing it to someone who is already experienced in this field.
Too many people join internet marketing and make the mistake of trying to do everything alone when they are not really qualified to do that. If you think you do not have the money to pay for this service think again because the outcome of not doing your keyword research right is zero sales. Also keyword research will take you days, possibly weeks to complete yourself and you will never really be sure whether you have truly gained the right words to use in your business. An expert will be able to look at your business and instantly recognize the keywords that will work for your internet marketing business.
Whether you do it yourself or pay to outsource make keyword research and analysis an important part of your product creation system and you will enjoy the success that comes from people finding your internet marketing business and buying your product.

7 Ways To Build Your Virtual Social Network In Internet Marketing
April 12, 2008 by DianeCorriette
We all have offline social networks, friends from our association, church or group, business networks that include suppliers, customers and other businesses, and now thanks to the power of web 2.0 we are building virtual social networks.
People are coming together from around the world to learn, connect to each other and share their personal and professional life. There are no longer any barriers to making international connections and talk to people around the world.
I refer to this type of online friendship as a virtual social network and it is particularly important for you to network in this way if you are in internet marketing and/or run an internet based business because you will be at home, working alone and will need a place to go when challenges hit, or just to let off some steam.
Below are seven great ways to build your virtual social network to ensure you and the person/people you interact with gain the most benefit:
Remember Its not about numbers
If you think all you need to do is find a social network with a large number of people you may be missing out on some great opportunities to connect inside smaller groups and build more solid relationships. First decide what you want to get out of a network and what you can provide in terms of skills and expertise. Once you do that whether that social network has 2 members or 2,000 you will always gain maximum benefit from taking part.
Leverage the skills
What skills will you have that you bring to a group and can share with them? Let them know your expertise and how you can help. Discover what skills other people have and how you can use them to build your business. Most people in a social network group are happy to share what they know so make the most of it and also be willing to share what you know.
Give before you take
It is important that you don’t spend all of your time taking and none of your time giving. Give first, share what you know, invite people to ask you questions, volunteer information, tell people about a great resource you found. Give, give and give some more because givers gain!
Provide value before you sell
When you write your blogs or messages for people to read don’t just leave a quick few words with a link to your products/site. Provide value you in your message. If you are commenting on what someone has written let them know why you enjoyed reading it, or whether you agree/disagree.
Establish yourself in a few rather than spread yourself in many
There are more and more online networks available for people to make use of and it is really easy to just keep joining one after another every time you are invited. It’s great to get yourself out on the internet but it’s also a good plan to establish yourself in at least 2 or 3 groups so that people recognize you. What you are looking to do here is build your reputation within the community and help them to get to know, like and trust you.
Take part and be active
If your social network allows you to start groups then start one and invite other members to join. If you are able to upload videos find a few on Google that the community may enjoy watching and include them. If the site has a blog include at least two a week that provide value, tips, techniques or a how to type post that will help people do something they may be unable to do. Some of the best blogs will start a discussion or debate so ask a question, or ask for comments, suggestions or ideas to get everyone talking.
Make a commitment and be willing to work at it
Raising your online visibility takes time to achieve and will need regular contributions and a commitment to being around so that regular members get to know you and new members want to connect with you. You will soon find yourself connecting to more and more people and building your virtual social network. As you meet the same members in other networks you will have an instant connection with them and that will help you where ever you are on the internet.
Building a virtual social network provides you with an opportunity to build international friendships as well as profitable business partnerships and joint venture opportunities. You cannot survive online without connecting to other people in the same industry/community and as with all relationship building it takes time but is very rewarding.
I have connected with people from the USA and when they visit the UK I meet up and show them round! So take your time, show your expertise and provide value, before you know it people will seek you out and want to connect with you.
