Ultimate Self-Care
For The 21st Century Woman
How To Ensure Your Needs Are Met
I have put together a free personal development book (or booklet as I prefer to call them as they are short, to the point and I don’t have to write 60 pages!!!) to support your personal growth. This free personal development book focuses on getting your needs met and self-care.
Feel free to pass it on to anyone you think might find it useful and as always I appreciate a comment if it helped you.
Defining self-care is easy because it’s the opposite of self-sabotage or self-control. It isn’t about getting your hair and nails done – and while that is important to help you feel good about yourself my focus here is on a much deeper level.
Self-care is about Self-care is for the needs within you. Self-care is caring for your soul, your inner self, and your very being. Throughout this booklet when I refer to self-care I am actually talking about taking care of yourself on a holistic level including the emotional, physical and spiritual areas of your life.

Brainwave entrainment is the new technology of the 21st century that will propel the science of personal development and improvement. While it is not relatively new, the distillation of the various technologies within brainwave technology to the consumer level is and that has allowed average consumers who are struggling with debilitating problems to improve their lives and even unlock their true potentials.
Everyday, more and more people – numbering even in the thousands, are able to realise the full power of their mind with the use of this technology. You can be one of those people as well and once you understand what brainwave entrainment is and how you can leverage on its amazing power, you will be able to be the person you have always wanted to be.
Achieve a new drive in life, get back that energy and that ambition and fulfil the dreams that you have always had – all with brainwave entrainment technology. So how does it work you might be wondering. Well the science behind it is that the brain exists in different electromagnetic waves, which can be measured from as low as 0.1 Hz to as high as 30 plus Hz.

Each of the different states, named Alpha, Beta, Theta etc. have different functions and are able to evoke certain characteristics in the brain. For example, the Alpha wave states (8 – 12Hz) are linked to aspects of an increased immune-response system, relaxation, stress relief and even moments of accelerated learning.
So would it not be useful if we could evoke these brainwave states whenever we needed them? This is what brainwave entrainment is all about and once you are able to do this, can you unlock the full power of the mind. It is literally going in and pushing the buttons in the mind and activating states of superior mind power. One of the best ways to do this is through the use of binaural beats.
These are beats that have been sculpted through sound engineering and embedded into tracks played by a CD. These are then played through a CD player or even an MP3 player and the sound is transmitted to the ears at differing frequencies. The difference in frequencies will correspond to a cortical response in the brain, which then initiates a brainwave entrainment that matches the difference between the two frequencies.
Almost immediately you are then entered into a state where you can invoke states of super learning. The good news about this is that this technology is available as a wide variety of CDs and mp3 files that can be either ordered or downloaded from the internet. Many companies are offering this technology for the end consumer and it has given personal development the boost it needs.
Especially for those people who have no time to attend special classes or even gain the advantages of advanced methods like autogenics and biofeedback. With brainwave entrainment technology like binaural beats, anyone is able to improve mind power as easily as just logging on and waiting for the order to arrive.

I received an email about my re-connection to all things personal development and was asked if I was just trying to be a Steve Pavlina wanna be…. I had to laugh out loud (and then ROFL!)
Steve Pavlina (in case you have been in outer space and are not familiar with him) can be found at http://www.stevepavlina.com/ – he writes personal development material, asks for donations (not sure if he still does actually) and is now a published author.
Our message – while similar – is very different because its written from two different societal perspectives. I definitely write from a woman’s perspective and he (not being a woman) definitely doesn’t! Our message is the same when it comes to living your purpose, discovering your own interpretation of the Truth and living authentically but I’m more entertaining than he is
(it’s good to pop your own collar you know!)
Am I a Steve Pavlina wanna be? No. I’m not. I am already Steve Pavlina… I’ve just been a little slower at getting my message out there! Who I definitely am though is me and everything that goes with that.
Thanks for asking
Diane
Personal Growth Coach and a woman in her own right
I’m officially the other woman, the one we all despise
The sneaking, cheating, hated one but not the one who lies
See he must play his own part too for this affair to work
And he’s the one who has a wife so how come he’s no jerk
He leaves his wife. And tells her lies.
But it seems its not his fault… I led him on.
So i’m offically the other woman, the one we all despise
But hold on just a minute I’m not the one telling liesA

9 questions you should ask yourself: a preparation to self-improvement
Be all you can be, but it’s not always that easy! Limiting beliefs, negative self doubt, fear and worry all lay before us ready to block our path at every turn. I often see myself as somewhat contented with my life and the way things are but I always create something new and exciting to aim for. One of the biggest challenges for people is that they really want to achieve something in life but are afraid of what will happen once they achieve it!
As an example, a coaching client of mine wanted to travel around the world but her fear was that if she did actually fulfill her dream and travel the world there would be nothing left to aim for. In this case wanting was more powerful than having! When the day came for her to return to the UK having visited all the countries she hoped for, what would be left to do? Nothing! Or so she thought.
Knowing what makes you “tick” and what excites you into action will support you in living a life that is full of fun, adventure and possibility. The thing to do is to always be creating, not at the expense of the goals you have, flitting from one to another without accomplishing any of them, but as a way to ensure you always have something to reach for as one goal is achieved.
Below are 9 questions you should ask yourself in preparation to embarking on your own self improvement:
1. What do I really want and why do I REALLY want it?
There can be so many things you want to do with your life, some you are actually doing, but many more you are just talking about endlessly day after day. Sometimes they can be things that your partner, parents or family want you to do. Or perhaps you are doing it to prove something to other people, teach someone a lesson, or be right about something.
STOP! Write down not only what you want but why you want it, if you find it doesn’t excite you then throw it away, if you find you are actually doing it because someone else wants you to or because you are proving something, consider ditching it for something better. Really think about “What do I WANT” and then when you write the reason why you want it ensure it is because it will provide you with access to something that excites you.
2. Should I really change?
Today’s generation has taken another level of redefining ’self’, or at least that’s what the kids are saying. If history has taught us one thing, it’s to cherish the life that we have gone through with all of it’s challenges and excitement. Maybe the question to really ask is “Am I ready to change?” and if not, why not? Are you holding yourself back for fear of the unknown? What will be the consequences of ending or starting something for those around me? These are questions you can consider, but be aware of using them as an excuse for not taking action!
3. What’s the bright side in all of this?
With so much happening around us there seems to be no room for even considering that light at the end of the tunnel. We can still see “the light” as something positive without undergoing so much scrutiny. There is no need to fear the unknown or what is going to happen next. Instead if what is at the end of your personal tunnel is a train, rather than view it as something waiting to knock you over you could choose to take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!
4. Have I done enough for myself?
Have you, or is there something more you want to do? Discontentment in every aspect can be dangerous in large doses, but in small amounts you’ll be able to see and do stuff you could never imagine doing. Sometimes moving away from being in debt is a more powerful motivator than moving towards being rich. Once you discover whether you have done enough for yourself or whether there is more you can do, then you are at least on a path towards doing something about it.
5. Am I happy with where I am today?
It’s an unfair question, so let it be an answer! Appreciate and be grateful for the small things in life. Can’t think of any? Well how about having the capability to read this article. If you are online be grateful for your computer and the internet, if you have a printed copy be grateful to be able to read and see the words. Be grateful for the gloves that keep your hands warm and the music you love to listen/dance to. Be happy with where you are today, even if it is not where you want to be and then make the promise to take action towards where you want to be. Oh! And make sure you take action!!
6. Am I appealing to other people?
So maybe I don’t have an answer to that, but that doesn’t mean I can’t try it though. Whether you shape-up, change the way you wear your clothes or hair, or even your attitude towards people, you should always remember it will always be for your own benefit. You are doing this for you, NOT so that somebody else likes you or because “they” say it’s what you need to do. Making yourself appealing to other people may also be about changing your attitude. Are you usually bossy, intimidating or angry? These are qualities that won’t help you win friends and influence people! Neither will being a total yes person. Look at whether you appeal to others and how you can improve on your inner personal strength so that you appeal to all people in all situations whilst retaining your personal power.
7. How much could I have?
I suppose in this case there is no such thing as having too much or too little, but it’s more on how badly you really need it. If you want to have loads of money the question is how much are you willing to work for it? When you’re friends are out enjoying themselves are you ready to continue working towards what you want? When you have had yet another person say no, for the 80th time! Do you have enough determination to keep going? Allow yourself to dream about how much you could have, decide whether you are ready to have that and then go for it! (If you need support I know a great coach!!)
8. What motivates and excites me?
What motivates you? It’s an answer you have to find out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of them may be the hardest part. Take time to recall a situation or event at which you were really motivated and/or excited, then think about a time when you weren’t that motivated. What was present in the motivated situation that wasn’t in the unmotivated one? When you discover that you have some tools to ensure that you remain motivated and excited AT ALL TIMES!
9. What Really Makes Me Tick?
So? What really makes you tick? You can be just about anything you always wanted to be, but if you approach what really makes you tick with the feeling that it’s not possible to attain you are already blocking your way and giving up before you even start that journey. Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical or philosophical change you have to undergo, but it’s something that you really want.
When you are feeling as if life is drifting away, or you are feeling a lack of direction then discovering what makes you tick, what motivates you to achieve and what you want for yourself and your life is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
Allow time to answer these questions, give yourself a few hours and if the answer does not immediately present itself then keep asking the question until it does. You will usually find that eventually your unconscious mind will step forward with the answer.
On a course run by Landmark Education Co-operation they ask, “What is your impossible promise?” think about that. What goal could you have that is SO HUGE it would not be achieved in your lifetime but would leave a legacy that others could continue? If like me you aspire for something deeper and more meaningful, then there are questions you can ask yourself to discover what you truly want.
Our problems (or challenges if you prefer) do not have to hinder us to becoming all we can be if we are willing to work on stepping past/breaking through them. Your child hood aspirations are still buried deep within you and a few questions and some deep thought later you may find that in fact you have still held on to the dream. These questions can support you in re-connecting with that dream if that is your desire, or creating a new one.

I am always being asked how I managed to get so much done in developing my internet based businesses and it really is simple. What I have is complete focus on my future vision, but also what I need to get done that month, week and day to ensure that vision becomes a reality.
The other thing I have is huge quantities of desire!
I have a desire to provide value in everything I do. I have a desire to support women who are ready to work towards running a successful internet based business. I have a desire to travel the world with my children and provide them with the very best that life (and money) has to offer.
So if I am working on my computer until 2am it really isn’t “work” for me. I love what I do (although the 2am thing isn’t recommended every night!!!)
There are no magic formulas to becoming successful it is all about focusing on what works rather than what doesn’t work.
It is all about focusing on what you want, not on what you don’t want.
What is your conversation that focuses on lack, limitation and/or what you don’t want? Change that and instead focus on what you want to achieve. Focus on that and nothing else. Keep your focus on what you desire.
Believe in your mind, heart and soul that you have no other option than to be successful.
No matter what is happening in your world keep your focus on the fact that you will succeed, feel it deep within you and hold onto that at all times. Engage your emotions too, allow yourself to feel the excitement of achieving your desires.
I am not talking here about what you “hope” may happen, but on what you absolutely know, deep within you, is possible. The achievement comes from knowing that you want it, that you focused on it, and that you overcame some major limits to get it.
What is your heart’s desire? Now read that again because I did not ask what is it that your head desires, we all know the head wants you to pay the bills and make sure everything is safe and secure. But what is it that your heart desires?
Definition of Desire 1 to wish or long for; crave. 2. to request; ask for
So when you desire something not only do you long for it, but you are also sending out a request, you are asking for what you want. And when the burning desire fills your very soul and when you just KNOW that this is going to happen – it is impossible for anything else but success to take place!
When you have a burning desire for something and are ready to stand in faith (faith – the absolute knowing deep within you, like you know that when you wake up tomorrow there will still be air to breathe – that kind of faith!) the universe conspires to make it happen.
Suddenly information comes your way, people call you, and doors open.
We need to work out what our desire is and then focus on it until it has been achieved. Let me repeat that. Focus on it until it has been achieved.
Not until the next great internet based business opportunity comes along, not for one week until you have decided it is a complete mess and you just don’t want to do it anymore. Not until you think it is not worth bothering with because it hasn’t arrived when you were expecting it!
No. This is about focusing on your desire until it has become a reality in your life.
But watch yourself here, because there is a very thin line between flogging a dead horse and never giving up! How do you know which of the two you are doing?
You need to know yourself. You need to know when your actions are limiting you or are truly what you want to do. You will have internal signals that tell you what your actions are really about.
If you think you don’t or if you don’t recognise them it’s time to go back to basics and re-introduce you to yourself! Get to know who you are so you recognise these signals. Its is imperative to your future business succcess.
Focus + Desire ( – Distraction) x Support = Success
Okay so you do the math! Discover what you desire, focus on it, limit distractions, gain support and success will be your final result.
Of course life will throw a few obstacles along the way, remember though these “obstacles” are a real blessing because they are supporting your growth and development.
You will either allow what happens to crush you or make you stronger. Your reaction to challenges and obstacles will be everything. If you have a true desire to achieve something then nothing will stand in your way.
If you have a true desire for something but an underlying belief that it is not possible, or a need to sabotage your success then you have just hit your biggest obstacle ever. Yourself.
Trust me on this one, if you do not have everything you desire in your life right now it is not because the delivery didn’t turn up on time, or people let you down. It is not because the prototype didn’t work properly or because there wasn’t enough money.
If any area of your life isn’t working it is because deep within you there is a part of you making sure you screw up.
There are only two ways that you can uncover why you do what you do. The first is to acknowledge that you do it, and the second is to ask yourself some questions that will help you uncover what you do and/or why you do it but you at least need to remain open to the possibility that there may be something there in the first place.
Focus and desire – it’s all you really need to enjoy success. There is no secret to achieving what you want. Galileo said “You cannot teach anyone anything; just show them where the answers are inside them” If it’s time for answers at least now you know where to go to find them.
