You make some very good points for self-growth here.

One of the TOP things I encourage people to do is to know themselves better: their purpose, values, passions, strengths and beliefs. Because I have seen how this self knowledge can improve our lives on so many levels.

The thing I emphasize the most these days is asking yourself very powerful questions, which trigger big revelations about yourself and your life. It’s an underused tool.

Cheers,

Interesting post! However, you cannot NOT have a life purpose. Your life purpose will look different from someone else's life purpose. Let go of thinking it has to look a certain way to be your life purpose. I find that people who struggle with figuring it out have not connected deeply enough with themselves to gain the clarity they need.

If you are searching externally for your life purpose you will more than likely go around and around in your search. You will find your purpose through getting to know the authentic you more. We all have been trained to look externally for answers rather than connecting with the wisdom we have inside.

Wow that's a tough question to ask, I think most people are not aware of their life's purpose. But for me, I think my life's purpose is to be in the lives of the people in my life. To be an instrument for them to learn and see life in a different perspective. Especially in the lives of my children. So , yeah! I am living it and happy about it.

It is really admirable how people have the ability to know how if they are not going the right way.

Yesterday, a friend of mine tried to kill himself. He went 120kph in a motorcycle on the national highway, without a helmet on and went on a drinking spree before that. I don't know what he was trying to do with his life.

Great post, Dianne! My purpose, my passion, is helping women and men upgrade their thinking skills so that they consciously switch tracks and change the direction of their lives as a result.

As I realise more and more that this is what it really boils down to, I find more ways opening up to me, to express that purpose.

This is what makes life worth living.

Like you it's taken me a while to define what this purpose is, what my role on this planet is - and it's something which is actually continually getting clearer (I'm a work in progress...).

I think it's wonderful how you realised when you were going off track in terms of your thinking - and switched onto thoughts of abundance. That shows a certain level of enlightenment - lots of people just mosey on through life stuck in the negative thought patterns not realising that these thoughts are influencing their feelings, subsequent actions and ultimate results.

But most certainly, I agree with ya - finding your purpose and passion gives you a solid direction in life and empowers you to easily weed out what's not necessary so you can focus on what is necessary to help you accomplish it.

Thanks for sharing this, Diane.

Blessings to ya!

I keep on asking myself that question. What do I live for? Why do I keep on living? What's my purpose? Then, I look at my mom (who's the prettiest girl I have ever seen), my brother and my sisters, whom I love so dearly even if we're like cats and dogs when fighting. I have my answers.

I know what you are talking about!
'Passion first' ought to be every person's motto. Reality does not however lend itself to such simplicity. Our individual struggle with passion or money is more complex than convetional wisdom would admit. The erroneous impression that people are looking to make lots of money before pursuing their dreams is not true in all cases.

Some people's excuse for this struggle especially their need and pursuit of money, may be exaggerated, but for others, it is real. Individual need for money is relative. For some, it is just money for basic living - which itself is still relative depending on your outlook on life.

To apply the Maslowian Needs hierachy, basic needs here will apply to two things:
(1) To be able to put food on the family table
(2) To be able to pay the next rent/mortgage
I am assuming that people can somehow manage to clothe themselves. With those those taken cared of, most people will have the presence of mind and concentration to focus on what truly matters.

So Diane, I congratulate you for getting to a place where you have a 'somewhat clear mind' to concentrate on delivering on your passion of sharing inspirational guidance with the world - working and and raising confidence in women. The path to you journey is now open...travel vigorously and God bless.
