A Better Way to Track Your Progress: Goal Tracker Updates

Thanks, for sharing:

We have been hard at work improving the Goal Progress Tracker, and today we are excited to share some important updates. These changes are more than just behind-the-scenes fixes, they are designed to make your experience smoother, clearer, and more motivating.

What Changed

1. Stronger Foundation for Goals
Every progress session you record is now directly tied to a goal. Before, sessions could technically exist without a goal, which sometimes led to confusion. By tightening this connection, your data is cleaner and you can always see how each action supports a bigger intention.

2. Editing Made Simple
When you edit a progress session, you will notice one small but meaningful change:

You are no longer asked to reselect “Which goal is this for?”
Instead, the goal is shown at the top of the edit form, locked in place.

This makes editing faster and eliminates the risk of accidentally switching a session to the wrong goal.

3. Cleaner Layout
The progress page has been reorganized so the flow feels more natural:

  • Stats at the top give you a quick snapshot of your progress this month.
  • Create New Goal sits on the left-hand side.
  • Record a Session is on the right-hand side.
  • Recent Sessions are shown directly below the record form, so your latest activity is easy to find.

Recent Goals are now displayed under the form to add a new goal, giving you a quick reminder of the most recent goals you are working toward.

This small shift makes the page easier to scan and keeps your goals and actions side by side.

4. Recent Goals Box
Just like “Recent Sessions,” we have introduced a Recent Goals box. This shows your five most recent goals in the same modern card style, with quick links to edit or delete. It’s a simple way to keep your current priorities visible.

5. New Goals List Page
Want to see all your goals in one place? The new Goals List page does exactly that. You will find:

  • A summary box at the top showing counts of total, active, inactive, time-based, and session-based goals.
  • Filter controls so you can view only active goals, only inactive ones, or filter by goal type.
  • A clean, paginated list of your goals with quick access to edit or delete.

This mirrors the style of the Sessions List page, so both sides of the tracker now feel consistent.

What This Means for You
Less friction: Recording and editing sessions feels easier and faster.

More clarity: Every session is firmly linked to a goal, so your progress always aligns with your intentions.

Better overview: Stats at the top, recent goals and sessions in view, and a new Goals List page give you a clearer picture of how you’re doing.

Consistency: The design across sessions and goals now matches, so everything looks and feels like one seamless system.

The Bottom Line
These changes are all about making this free goal tracker not just a tool you use, but a system that supports you. Whether you are setting new goals for momentum, recording daily progress, or looking back at how far you’ve come, everything is simpler, cleaner, and more connected.

Your progress matters, and now, the goal tracker reflects that with a smoother experience from start to finish. To use our free goal tracker you can register here.
